The Gels know their community, & recognize need when they see it.

After 20 years of operating an Adult Care Facility, Ralph & Janet Gels retired in early June. They always thought the Coldwater area needed a place for travelers to stay – and dreamed of running it. Now is their time. In September of 2014 Gels opened the newly renovated Gels Home Bed and Breakfast.

For $70 per night, a guest can experience a personalized atmosphere with brand new facilities at 507 N 2nd St. – and maybe even hear a locally famous story or two from the Gels themselves.

One thing holds fast & stays true in The Gels home: lighthouses are a special place.
With the lighthouse theme, they hope to mimic the serenity of their favorite spot: Big Sable Point Lighthouse in Ludington, Michigan, where they have volunteered for more than 10 years.
They want guests to feel peaceful, relaxed & well-rested with full stomachs, full hearts & their own new story.
